Terms of Use

By using caryearly.com ("CarYearly") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information only

The site presents data from the U.S. EPA and NHTSA for general information. It is not a vehicle inspection, a vehicle history report or professional advice, and it can't tell you the condition of a particular vehicle. Have a used vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic before you buy it.

Recalls and complaints

Recall lists cover a model year as a whole. To find out whether a recall is open on a particular vehicle, check its VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls or with a dealer. Owner complaints are unverified reports made to NHTSA and are not findings that a defect exists.

Accuracy

We explain our sources and calculations on our methodology page and work to keep the data current. Government data is published with a delay and can be revised, so we cannot guarantee that every figure is complete, current or free of errors. The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CarYearly is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content.

Advertising and partner links

The site shows advertising and may include marked links to partners, such as vehicle history report providers, that pay us if you buy. We are not responsible for third-party websites, products or services.

Trademarks

Vehicle makes and model names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify vehicles. CarYearly is not affiliated with or endorsed by any manufacturer.

Use of content

The underlying government data, including NHTSA crash-test photos, is in the public domain. The site's design, text, code and compilations are ours. You may quote or link to our pages with attribution to CarYearly and a link to the page; please do not copy the site wholesale or scrape it in a way that disrupts its operation.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed; continuing to use the site means you accept the current version.
